The design of a chair remains one of the most difficult challenges for any designer. After an initial study of various precedents, each designer studied and designed a 1:1 prototype of the chair. An emphasis was placed on understanding fabrication techniques and mass production.

The design for the Chair Lounge attemps to find a way to provide both an upright chair and a reclined lounge with only a single hinge point. The different back angles required are accounted for with a shaped cushion that provides an upslope on one side for a seat and a down slope for the back support as a lounge. A maple frame and hollow aluminum tubes allows the chair to be light (weighing in at just over 10 pounds) while also being sturdy

DC Pediatric Smiles is the new pediatric dentistry office of Dr. Derek Blank located just outside of Washington, DC. CraftedAction worked to create the overall look and feel as well as an entire suite of brand collateral, signage, and digital properties for the client.

EO Philadelphia is a group of successful entrepreneurs who gather several times per month for learning and enjoyment. Their events are as varied as the group itself so capturing the spirit of distinct events like beer tastings or volunteering at a food bank  while maintaining the company’s brand requires a careful balance.

The following include a custom beer label (with Yards Philadelphia), branding for a season theme, an ice skating invitation, a holiday party physical invite, shirts and board member business cards.

This poster was created for a recently engaged friend living in a different location than her fiance.
